In response to the news of the cancellation of the competition, David Brown, general manager of Go-Ahead, stated that “a lot of work has been put into a strong offer that would have been based on Southeastern`s achievements in recent years.” The company is “disappointed that our initial offer is not progressing” and “will work with the DfT on the next steps”.
