Head of division (reference to collective agreements: Article 25.6): the term of office of a chair usually begins on July 1 and usually lasts three years. If the normal date of June 30 is unchanged, there is no obligation for an employee to retire at age 65, according to our collective agreement. Conditional (Clause 15.3): The AMT informs workers in writing of the success of the trial period no later than two months before the end of their trial period. A worker who is not notified within the specified time frame is considered to be on duty.

They will also have a diverse understanding of Canada`s sport and recreation systems and key trends in the province and country. You will understand how to work successfully in an environment with several collective agreements including university faculty members, athletic and recreation staff, coaches and athletes. You will also have the experience of reconciling the importance of the academic department with the role of athletics and leisure services for the university community. You have experience building and maintaining strong community engagement through values-based partnerships. They are a great communicator and they are adept at presenting large and small groups in academic or non-academic settings. As Dean, you are a strong advocate for justice, diversity and inclusion and a dedicated, respectful and good listener problem solver. The Dean`s appointment is renewable for five years and is expected to begin on July 1, 2021. Extended Study Leave (Article 24): A worker requests extended study leave from the Extended Study Leave Committee until October 1 of the calendar year in which extended study leave begins. The Extended Study Leave Committee reviews applications annually no later than November 1 and recommends to the CHAIR of the OC candidates for a longer study leave.

Permission or rejection of an application for extended study leave is issued until December 1. Resignation (collective agreement note: Section 26.3.1): A permanent worker or a full-time employee may terminate in writing the OC President from any appointment with a period of at least two months. The resignation will take effect on June 30 after notification of the resignation is filed or the deadline for appointment expires, with the nearest date chosen, unless an earlier date is acceptable to both parties.
